Blackthread (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is based in India. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its associated rules.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard the information you provide when you visit our website at theblackthread.in or sign up for our waitlist.

We collect only what is necessary:

• Email address — collected when you join our waitlist or contact us through the contact form.
• Name — collected when you submit a contact form message.
• Message content — the message you write in our contact form.
• Usage data — anonymised analytics data (page views, referral sources) collected through Vercel Analytics. This data does not identify you personally.

We do not collect any Sensitive Personal Data or Information (SPDI) as defined under the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

• To add you to our early-access waitlist and send you a confirmation email.
• To respond to your messages or inquiries submitted via the contact form.
• To send you a single notification when early access becomes available. We will not send marketing emails beyond that without your explicit consent.

Waitlist email addresses are stored in a secure third-party database (data may reside on servers in the European Union or United States). All data is protected with encryption at rest and in transit.

We retain your email address until you request deletion or until the Blackthread product is launched and we no longer need the waitlist. Contact form submissions are retained for a reasonable period to allow us to respond, after which they are deleted.

• Correction — request that we correct inaccurate personal data.
• Erasure — request deletion of your personal data. To be removed from the waitlist, email us and we will delete your record promptly.
• Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with our designated contact (details below) and receive a response within a reasonable time.
